Carmen Wynes, NP-C

After serving on the boards of CVN 69 and VAW 120 Early Warning Squadrons for 4.5 years, Carmen began her nursing career as a diploma nurse from Medical Careers Institute in 2010. She received her BSN from Norfolk State University in 2015 and her master’s in nursing with a concentration in Family Nursing Practice from South University in Virginia Beach in 2017. Carmen has been a healthcare provided for over 14 years. She obtained an additional Surgical Assistant certification in 2019.  She worked at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Burn/Trauma/ and General Surgery Services. She also has over 2 years of experience in Neurosurgical services where she participated in over 100+ neurosurgical cases. “Over the years I have obtained many skills to prefect my craft as a primary care provider. I feel now is the time to utilize those skills to service an awesome growing community while simultaneously elevating my career as a free-standing NP-C in a community that needs me.”
